Clients of a bereavement charity spending the day in wellbeing centre.

Wellbeing Centres

Our wellbeing centres provide our clients with real face to face creativity and a chance to socialise with support from trained volunteers and staff. Our wellbeing centres help us set up our activity days for laughing, having fun and making new friends.

What does a typical day look like?

Every day at a Widows Empowerment Trust wellbeing centre is different but you can expect it to be like this:

  • Our minibus will come and pick you up from your house to take you to our wellbeing centre.
  • Have a sit down in our centre and settle with other members over a cup of tea and a chat.
  • Activities that are organised will begin.
  • A freshly-prepared food and drinks will be served throughout the day.
  • When the day is over, you'll be dropped back off at home by our minibus at an agreed time.

What can you expect from our wellbeing centres?

Our wellbeing centres are set up alongside our activity days. These fun days out help bring people coming from similar situations and experiences together. You can enjoy  activities which include: Arts & Crafts, Celebrations, Sewing & Textiles, Baking. They are also used as a meetup for Cinema Days, Meals Out or Pampering Session.

The Widows Empowerment Trust hosting an Arts & Craft session for their bereavement support group.
