Celebrating Mother's Day

Mother's Day can be a very challenging day for some of our widows, in their isolation they can find it difficult to feel strong during this event and some have no one to celebrate with. We here at Widows Empowerment Trust are dedicated to ending loneliness and social isolation, especially during times that are supposed to be shared with the family and celebrated. 

This year to celebrate all of the wonderful mothers in our community we organised an online event for them to join and have fun with us, we had such activities as playing bingo, winning prizes, playing music, and reading poems. We think this has been really important to maintaining a sense of community and connection in our widows. 

We are looking forward to being able to celebrate in person again and host our usual Mother's Day party with all of our beneficiaries in attendance. 

Many of our clients consider us family and we are always happy to share these events with them, If you are interested in joining our efforts and our family then get in contact with us and we can connect you into our events and our community.
